The latest in the series of seminars from the Samuel Beckett Early Career Scholars Initiative has been announced. Titled With and Beyond Beckett: Developing Competitive Research Careers
the session will feature Laura Salisbury (University of Exeter), David Pattie (University of Birmingham), andArka Chattopadhyay (IIT Gandhinagar) in a discussion of how Beckett Studies provided a springboard for them to move into broader research careers. Moving from a single-author focus to a larger framework has provided these and many other scholars with a larger scholarly community, more opportunities, and made them more competitive in the humanities and theatre studies.
The webinar will be moderated by Katherine Weiss (Cal State LA).
